It All Started With Dinner

My girlfriend had been dealing with recipe websites for years. The ads, the pop-ups, the life story before the ingredients. She never complained much about it. But when I started cooking more to help out and share the load in the kitchen, I finally experienced it myself. My hands are covered in food and an ad is blocking the recipe. I'm scrolling through someone's childhood memory just to find how much garlic I need. I looked at her and said "this is what you've been dealing with!?"

So instead of complaining about it, I built an app.

What started as a simple fix turned into a full meal planner we use every day. She adds grocery items straight from the recipe list. I add them from the weekly meal planner. I can pull recipes directly from any website using a browser bookmark tab or just paste the URL. The grocery list organizes everything by store. It even tracks prices and shows high and low values so we're more aware of what we're spending.

It's made cooking so much easier for me, and I've actually gotten pretty good. Fajitas and Italian chicken cutlets are in regular rotation now. Oh, and our two dogs Tucker, a golden retriever, and Raven, a Belgian Malinois, chase a ball across the home screen every time you open it.

That project changed everything for me. I realized I loved solving real problems with code. So I kept building.

Then one day I needed an HVAC repair. The company was great. Skilled, reliable, trustworthy. But their website was a mess. I couldn't figure out what services they offered or how to get help. I almost didn't call them because their website created too much confusion.

That's when it clicked: great small businesses are losing customers not because they're bad at what they do, but because their websites don't work.

So I taught myself web development from the ground up. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, full applications. I built project after project until I could deliver sites that load in under a second, score 100 on Google PageSpeed, and actually bring in calls.

I'm not a big agency with layers of overhead. It's just me, which means you get direct communication, fast turnaround, and someone who genuinely cares whether your site is working for you. When you call, I answer. When something needs to change, it gets done. No ticket systems, no phone trees, no waiting.

Your time is worth money. Spend it running your business. I'll handle your website.
